On January 1, 2022, Oregon law drastically changed to make it generally easier for most people to obtain an expungement

An expungement allows you "for purposes of the law to be deemed to not have previously been convicted, and the court shall issue an order sealing the record of the conviction and other official records in the case, including the records of arrest, citation, and charge."

You are not eligible for an expungement of the following crimes Most sex crimes, unless you were less than three and a half years older than the victim and consent was not at issue or you have first been relieved of your requirement to register as a sex offender or Criminal Mistreatment if the victim is age 65 or older or if the offense constitutes child abuse Endangering the welfare of a minor of a minor when the offense constitutes child abuse Traffic Crime (DUI, Reckless Driving, Driving While Suspended)
You are likely otherwise eligible for an expungement if You were convicted of a Class B or C misdemeanor or contempt of court and it's been at least 1 year since you were convicted or released from imprisonment; or You were convicted of a Class A misdemeanor and it's been at least 3 years since you were convicted or released from imprisonment; or You were convicted of a Class C felony and it's been at least 5 years since you were convicted or released from imprisonment; or You were convicted of a Class B felony and it's been at least 7 years since you were convicted or released from imprisonment; or
